Question 1

Is this cabinet real wood, and how sturdy is it once assembled?

Accepted Answer

The cabinet is made from engineered wood (laminate over particle board/MDF), not solid wood. This is common for ready-to-assemble furniture at this price point. While it looks sleek when put together, several users on Reddit note it can feel a bit lightweight. For everyday office supplies and files, it holds up well, but it may not be the best choice for extremely heavy items like stacks of dense textbooks.

Question 2

How difficult is the assembly, and will it fit under a standard desk?

Accepted Answer

Assembly requires time and patience, with most reviewers completing it in 1-3 hours. The instructions can be tricky, so we recommend having a helper. Regarding fit, please note the height is 34.25 inches. Many standard desks are 29-30 inches tall, so it likely will *not* fit underneath. It's best used as a standalone storage unit next to a desk. Always double-check your space against the dimensions (15.75"D x 18.74"W x 34.25"H) before purchasing.

Question 3

Do the wheels work well on carpet, and do they lock?

Accepted Answer

The wheels roll smoothly on hard floors and low-pile carpet. On thicker carpet, mobility can be reduced, especially when the cabinet is fully loaded. A common tip from YouTube setup tours is to ensure the cabinet is on a hard mat if your carpet is plush. The wheels do not have locking mechanisms, so the cabinet can move if pushed.

Question 4

What is your return policy if the item is damaged or doesn't work for my space?

Accepted Answer

We stand by our products. If your item arrives with manufacturing defects or damage, please contact our customer support team immediately with photos. For returns due to fit or preference, please refer to the return policy of the retailer where you purchased the cabinet (e.g., Amazon, Walmart), as their specific windows and conditions apply. We always recommend checking these details at the time of purchase.

Question 5

Who would you say this cabinet is best suited for?

Accepted Answer

This mobile cabinet is a great fit for home office users, students, or crafters who need affordable, vertical storage and value mobility. It's perfect for organizing papers, supplies, or even as a rolling printer stand. If you're handy with assembly and have realistic expectations for RTA furniture, you'll likely be happy with the space-saving design. If you need industrial-grade sturdiness for a very heavy load or absolutely hate assembling furniture, you might want to consider a pre-assembled metal filing cabinet.
