Question 1

How thick is the Tracker Card, and will it make my wallet bulky?

Accepted Answer

The card is designed to be as slim as possible, but it will add some thickness—similar to 2-3 credit cards stacked. Many users in minimalist wallets note it's noticeable but a fair trade-off for the tracking capability. If your wallet is already packed tight, you might find it becomes a bit "chunky." We recommend checking the exact dimensions on our spec sheet against your wallet.

Question 2

What happens when the battery eventually dies? Can I replace it?

Accepted Answer

The battery is sealed and non-replaceable to maintain the IP68 waterproof rating. It's designed to last for about 3 years with normal use. When the battery is depleted, the card will need to be replaced. This is a common point of discussion among users who prioritize long-term sustainability, so it's important to consider it as part of your purchase decision.

Question 3

I have an Android phone. Can I use this if my family uses iPhones?

Accepted Answer

The Ridge Tracker Card is exclusively compatible with Apple's Find My network. An iPhone, iPad, or Mac is required for initial setup and to view its location. If you are an Android user, you will not be able to use this tracker. However, if you're buying it for a family member who uses Apple devices (like a parent or partner), you can set it up using their Apple ID so you can all track it through Family Sharing.

Question 4

Is it truly waterproof and durable enough for my passport or daily carry?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The card has an IP68 rating, meaning it's fully dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water. It's built with a metal shell designed for the rigors of everyday carry. Users on platforms like TikTok have tested it in rain, sweaty pockets, and even accidental trips through the washing machine with success, making it a reliable choice for passports, luggage tags, and wallets.

Question 5

Who is this product really best suited for?

Accepted Answer

It's an ideal, premium solution for someone deeply invested in the Apple ecosystem who wants a discreet, durable tracker for slim items like a wallet, passport, or important documents. It's a favorite among frequent travelers and as a thoughtful gift. If you need a tracker for larger items, use Android, or want a replaceable battery, a standard AirTag or a cross-platform tracker like Tile might be a better fit for your needs.
