Question 1

I'm used to non-stick pans. Will food stick to this stainless steel skillet?

Accepted Answer

Unlike coated non-stick pans, stainless steel requires a simple technique to prevent sticking. The key is to properly preheat the pan (a few minutes over medium heat) until a drop of water "dances" or beads up, then add your oil. Once the oil shimmers, add your food. Many new users on Reddit shared that mastering this method leads to perfect, non-stick results and superior searing.

Question 2

Are the handles truly "stay cool," and is the pan oven-safe?

Accepted Answer

The handles are designed to stay cooler than the pan body, but during extended stovetop or oven use, they will become warm. We recommend using a dry towel or oven mitt for safety, especially when using the oven. Yes, the entire pan (including lid) is oven-safe up to 500°F, making it great for finishing dishes or baking.

Question 3

How does the weight and size feel for everyday use? Who is this pan best for?

Accepted Answer

This pan has a substantial, heirloom-quality feel due to its tri-ply construction, which contributes to even heating. While solid, some users find it heavier than typical non-stick pans. It's ideal for home cooks who value performance and durability over ultra-lightweight design. The 8-inch size is perfect for sautéing vegetables, searing 1-2 proteins, or making omelets for 1-2 people.

Question 4

Is it really induction compatible and dishwasher safe?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The tri-ply clad base contains a magnetic layer, making it fully compatible with induction cooktops. It is also dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. A helpful tip from user reviews: to prevent water spots, you might prefer to hand dry it promptly after the dishwasher cycle to maintain its shine.
