Question 1

How big is this clock in real life? Will it look right on my wall?

Accepted Answer

At 23 inches tall and 14 inches wide, it’s designed as a statement piece for medium to large walls—think living rooms, offices, or entryways. Many TikTok users recommend pairing it with a wall at least 4 feet wide for balance. If you have vaulted ceilings or a very open plan, you might prefer our 30-inch version for better proportion.

Question 2

Is the clock silent or does it tick loud?

Accepted Answer

This is a classic quartz mechanism, so there is a soft tick. It’s not silent-sweep. If you’re putting it in a bedroom or a quiet reading nook, some Reddit users suggest placing it at least 8 feet away or opting for a sweep-movement clock. In living rooms or offices, the ticking blends into background noise.

Question 3

How durable is the antique gold finish? Will it scratch easily?

Accepted Answer

The metal is powder-coated and lightly distressed for that vintage look, which helps hide minor wear. However, a small number of customers have reported scratches from shipping. We pack each clock with extra padding, but if yours arrives with noticeable damage, our support team offers immediate replacements or refunds—just send photos.

Question 4

Can I hang this outdoors or in a bathroom with humidity?

Accepted Answer

The metal construction can handle occasional humidity, but the mechanism is not sealed. For covered patios or kitchens, it should be fine. For bathrooms or outdoor areas exposed to direct rain or steam, we recommend keeping it away from moisture to avoid rust on the hands and movement issues.

Question 5

Is this clock just for steampunk decor, or would it fit farmhouse style too?

Accepted Answer

It actually bridges both styles beautifully. The antique gold and black metal suit modern farmhouse, industrial loft, and steampunk looks equally well. Many buyers use it as a focal point in neutral-toned rooms. One word of caution: the decorative gears are stationary, so if you’re hoping for a working mechanical display, this isn’t that—but as a vintage wall accent, it’s a crowd-pleaser.
