Question 1

Does this cable work with all MacBook Air and Pro models from M1 through M5?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this cable supports the USB-C magnetic connection across MacBook Air 13.6" and 15" (M1–M5) and MacBook Pro 14" and 16" (2021–2026). However, note that it’s a charging-only cable—if you need data sync or video output, you’ll want a standard USB-C cable instead. Many TikTok users recommend double-checking your specific year in the product description, as older Intel-based MacBooks may not align magnetically.

Question 2

How strong is the magnetic connection? Will it stay put during use?

Accepted Answer

The magnet is strong enough for stable desktop charging—it snaps into place securely and releases cleanly if yanked. That said, Reddit users mention it’s not as reinforced as Apple’s MagSafe 3; if you frequently move your laptop around or work in bumpy environments (like a car or train), the tip can disconnect. For stationary desk setups, it holds perfectly and prevents cable damage from accidental trips.

Question 3

Can I expect fast charging (e.g., 140W) with my MacBook Pro 16"?

Accepted Answer

The cable supports up to 100W charging (per USB-C PD standards), which covers fast charging for most MacBook Air and Pro models. For the MacBook Pro 16” (M4/M5), Apple’s 140W charging requires a proprietary MagSafe 3 cable. If you use this cable with a 140W brick, your MacBook will still charge, but at a reduced speed (around 60–70W). Most reviewers find this adequate for overnight or desk charging.

Question 4

Is the braided cord durable? I’ve seen braided cables fray near the connector over time.

Accepted Answer

This cable uses a nylon-braided exterior with reinforced joints, which resists tangling better than standard rubber cords. Several users in YouTube reviews report solid performance after 6–8 months of daily use, with no fraying at the connector ends. That said, no braided cable is truly unbreakable—avoid sharp bends or pinching the cord under heavy objects, and it should hold up well for years.

Question 5

What’s the return or refund policy if it stops working?

Accepted Answer

The cable typically comes with a 30-day return window and a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects. If you experience issues like the magnetic tip failing to charge or the LED malfunctioning, customer support is generally responsive. Some reviewers recommend filming a short video of the issue to speed up the process. As with most Amazon accessories, keep your order details handy for smoother claims.
