Question 1

How is the real-world WiFi performance, and what's the best way to ensure a stable connection?

Accepted Answer

While the built-in WiFi is functional for basic use, some users report it can be less robust over longer distances compared to consumer tablets. For the most reliable performance in a fixed installation, we highly recommend using the built-in Gigabit LAN (RJ45) port for a wired connection. This is a standard practice for industrial panel PCs and guarantees maximum network stability.

Question 2

Is the Android 12 software clean, or does it come with bloatware? Can I install other OSes?

Accepted Answer

The device runs a standard version of Android 12. A few utility apps may be pre-installed, but no major bloatware has been reported by users. The system is relatively clean for an off-the-shelf industrial PC. Please note, this unit is designed as a stable hardware platform; flashing custom ROMs or installing other operating systems is not officially supported and may void the warranty.

Question 3

What kind of tasks is this Panel PC best suited for?

Accepted Answer

Thanks to its rugged metal build and extensive ports, it excels in fixed, wired applications where durability and connectivity are key. Perfect uses include industrial machine interfaces, digital signage, point-of-sale systems, kiosks, and smart home control panels. It's ideal for integrators who value the solid construction and multiple USB ports over ultra-portability.

Question 4

How does the RK3399 processor with 4GB RAM handle performance? Should I expect desktop-level speed?

Accepted Answer

The RK3399 is a capable ARM processor. It delivers smooth performance for its intended purposes: running a single dedicated application, light web browsing, or media playback. However, as noted in some user reviews, it is not a high-end desktop CPU. Managing many demanding apps simultaneously may feel slower. It offers excellent value for targeted industrial and commercial uses but isn't designed for heavy multitasking or PC-grade software.

Question 5

What is included in the box, and does it support mounting?

Accepted Answer

The unit comes with the Panel PC itself and a power adapter. VESA mount compatibility is a key feature—the back of the panel has standard VESA mounting holes (typically 100x100mm). However, the actual VESA mount bracket is usually *not included* and must be purchased separately based on your specific installation needs (e.g., wall arm, desk stand).
