Question 1

Will this tape hold up in hot sunlight or after heavy rain?

Accepted Answer

Many TikTok users found that while the KAHEIGN tape sticks well initially, it may lose adhesion in extreme heat or moisture. For best results, apply it on a clean, dry surface during moderate weather. It’s more of a reliable temporary fix than a permanent solution for high-temperature or damp conditions.

Question 2

Is the tape thick enough for larger tears, or just small holes?

Accepted Answer

At 6mil thickness, this tape works great for cracks, rips, and small punctures. For large gaps or long seams, some customers recommend overlapping strips—though a few noted it felt thinner than expected for heavy-duty tasks. Think of it as a handy repair roll, not a structural patch.

Question 3

Can I use it on glass, polycarbonate, or just polyethylene?

Accepted Answer

It’s specifically designed for polyethylene greenhouse film. Applying it to glass or polycarbonate may result in poor bonding or peeling. If you’re sealing a different surface, check with the seller or consider a multi-surface repair tape instead.

Question 4

Is the tape safe for plants and edible crops?

Accepted Answer

Based on user feedback, the tape is considered safe for greenhouse use near plants. It’s clear and doesn’t emit strong odors. For extra caution around edible crops, avoid direct contact with leaves or fruit and ensure it’s sealed around frames only.

Question 5

How do I avoid bubbles and wrinkles when applying?

Accepted Answer

A common tip from reviewers is to cut the tape slightly longer than needed, apply from one end while pressing firmly with a squeegee or card, and work out air bubbles as you go. Clean the surface with a dry cloth first—moisture or debris is the main cause of poor adhesion.
