Question 1

How does the 65W power split work when charging multiple devices at once?

Accepted Answer

Great question! The 65W is the total maximum output. When used alone, the top USB-C port delivers the full 65W for a laptop. When charging multiple devices, power is intelligently distributed. A common setup is 45W to a laptop (via one USB-C) and 20W to a phone (via the other), which many TikTok users have confirmed works perfectly for a MacBook and iPhone simultaneously. The included diagram on the charger shows all possible port combinations.

Question 2

Is the DR VAKU charger safe to use overnight and does it get very hot?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's safe for overnight charging. It features built-in protections against over-current, over-voltage, and short-circuiting. Like all fast chargers, it will generate some warmth during heavy use (e.g., using all three ports at high speed). Based on numerous reviews, users describe this as "noticeably warm but not alarmingly hot." It's designed to manage this heat efficiently thanks to the GaN technology.

Question 3

What devices are compatible, and will it fast-charge my specific phone?

Accepted Answer

It's widely compatible! It supports Power Delivery (PD) and Quick Charge (QC) protocols. This includes:
* MacBooks & USB-C Laptops: Fast charges most models.
* iPhones (12-17 series): Supports 20W+ fast charging.
* Samsung Galaxy/Android Phones: Enables Super Fast Charging where supported.
* iPad, AirPods, Nintendo Switch, and more.
If your device can fast-charge via USB-C, this adapter will likely support it.

Question 4

How does the build quality and reliability compare to brands like Anker?

Accepted Answer

The DR VAKU charger is highly rated for its solid build and reliable performance, which is a key reason for its positive reviews. While established brands like Anker have a longer track record, this charger is frequently mentioned in Reddit discussions as a "surprisingly good" value alternative. It uses GaN technology for efficiency and compactness. We offer a 24-month warranty to back its reliability. A small number of users have reported issues with the included cable, so for maximum durability, using a high-quality cable you already trust is recommended.

Question 5

Who is this charger best suited for, and who might need something different?

Accepted Answer

This charger is a fantastic all-in-one solution for travelers, students, or anyone with an iPhone and a laptop looking to declutter. Its compact size is its biggest win. However, if you need to charge two high-wattage laptops (both needing 65W+ simultaneously) or want dedicated full power on multiple ports, you'd be better served by a 100W+ multi-port charger. For most users charging a combination of a laptop, phone, and earbuds, it's perfect.
