Question 1

Is this device truly effective, or is it just a placebo? I've seen mixed opinions online.

Accepted Answer

Based on extensive customer feedback, the majority of users report a significant reduction or complete elimination of rodent activity in their cars and homes. It's designed as a preventative deterrent, not an exterminator for an existing infestation. For best results, consistent use and proper placement are key. Many TikTok and Reddit users in preventative communities share success stories, noting it provided peace of mind and protected their car's wiring.

Question 2

I'm worried about my pets. Is this ultrasonic repellent safe to use around dogs, cats, or household pets like hamsters?

Accepted Answer

This is a common and important concern. The ultrasonic waves are designed to target the sensitive hearing of rodents like rats and mice. While most dogs and cats are not typically affected, some may be sensitive to the high-frequency sound, especially if in very close proximity. It is not recommended for use around domestic rodents like hamsters, guinea pigs, or rabbits. For home use, many pet owners on forums suggest testing the device in one area first to observe your pet's reaction.

Question 3

How do I properly install it in my car's engine bay, and will it drain my car battery?

Accepted Answer

Installation is straightforward: simply plug the device into your car's 12V power socket (cigarette lighter). Most users then use the included cable to place the emitter unit in the engine bay, away from direct heat and moving parts. The device is designed with low power consumption and will not drain a healthy car battery under normal use. However, if your car will be parked and unused for several weeks, it's a good practice to unplug it, as with any 12V accessory.

Question 4

What's the real-world coverage area for using this at home, and where should I place it?

Accepted Answer

For home use (via the included USB adapter), effective coverage is typically in a single room or enclosed area like a garage or attic, as walls and furniture can dampen the sound waves. Placement is crucial. Set it up in the center of the area, pointing towards where rodent activity is suspected, and ensure the path is unobstructed. Avoid placing it on thick carpet or behind soft furnishings. Reddit DIYers often recommend using multiple units for larger, open spaces.

Question 5

How durable is it, and what if it stops working? What's your warranty or return policy?

Accepted Answer

The device is noted in reviews for its solid, sturdy build. To ensure longevity, avoid exposing it to direct moisture or extreme temperatures beyond its specifications. We stand by the quality of our product with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against defects. If your unit fails within this period, please contact our customer support team with your order details for a replacement or repair. We also offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee if you find it's not the right solution for your needs.
