Question 1

What is the real usable battery capacity for my 5V devices?

Accepted Answer

The internal battery is 26000mAh (26Ah) at 3.7V. When converted to the 5V output, the effective capacity is approximately 15,000-16,000mAh. This is a common point of clarification, and it's still ample for running low-power devices like security cameras for weeks. We recommend calculating your device's daily power draw in mAh for the most accurate runtime estimate.

Question 2

Can this power my 12V device or laptop?

Accepted Answer

No, this unit has a fixed 5VDC output only. It is specifically designed for USB-powered devices (5V) like most security cameras, LED lights, and phone chargers. Many satisfied users on forums like Reddit confirm it's perfect for that niche. If you need 12V or higher voltage, you would require a different solar power system.

Question 3

How long does it take to charge using the solar panel?

Accepted Answer

Solar charging is best for maintaining a charge rather than charging from empty. From a fully depleted state, it can take several days of direct, ideal sunlight to reach 100% due to the panel's 20W output. For a faster full charge, we highly recommend using the USB-C wall charger, which is much quicker. Think of the solar as a "trickle charge" to offset daily device usage.

Question 4

Is this durable enough for permanent outdoor installation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with proper consideration. It features an IP65 waterproof rating, making it resistant to rain and dust. However, as noted in some user reviews, the mounting bracket is plastic. For high-wind areas or permanent mounting, we suggest using additional fasteners like zip-ties or mounting it in a sheltered spot to ensure long-term stability.

Question 5

Who is this product best suited for?

Accepted Answer

This is an ideal "set and forget" solution for powering specific low-draw, 5V devices off-grid. Our happiest customers use it for: 1) Security cameras in locations without wiring, 2) Low-power radio nodes (like Meshtastic), and 3) Outdoor sensor arrays or LED lights. It's less suitable as a general-purpose high-capacity power bank for camping or charging laptops.
