Question 1

Does this KVM switch support high refresh rate gaming, like 4K at 120Hz or 1440p at 144Hz?

Accepted Answer

It is technically capable, but your experience depends heavily on your specific graphics cards, monitors, and cables. Many users report perfect 4K60Hz operation, while achieving stable 4K120Hz may require premium certified HDMI 2.1 cables and compatible hardware. For competitive gaming where every frame counts, some Reddit users suggest researching dedicated gaming KVMs for guaranteed performance.

Question 2

Is the setup truly plug-and-play, or is it complicated?

Accepted Answer

Most users find the basic video and USB switching straightforward. However, to use all USB 3.0 ports at full speed, you may need to install a small driver on each connected computer—a step some find missing from the manual. A common tip from online forums is to connect everything *before* powering on your PCs for the smoothest setup.

Question 3

What's the catch with the cables and power?

Accepted Answer

Be prepared for cable management! The switch requires an external power adapter (included) and two specific USB-B to USB-A cables to connect to your computers. Reviewers often mention the included cables are functional but short; for a clean desk, you might want to purchase longer, higher-quality HDMI and USB cables separately.

Question 4

I've read some reviews about units failing. What's the warranty and support like?

Accepted Answer

We understand that reliability is a top concern. This product typically comes with a limited warranty from the manufacturer. We strongly recommend registering your purchase and keeping your receipt. While many users have a flawless experience, if you do encounter an issue, reaching out to the seller's after-sales support directly is the fastest path to a solution or replacement.

Question 5

Who is this KVM switch best suited for, and who might want to look elsewhere?

Accepted Answer

This switch is an excellent value for users who need to cleanly manage two computers (like a work and personal PC) with a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor at 4K60Hz. It's great for hybrid workers, streamers, and general productivity. If your primary need is flawless, high-refresh-rate gaming passthrough or you require absolute minimal setup with zero driver installation, you may want to consider a higher-end, specialized KVM switch.
