Question 1

Will the Sora 70 work with my freeform or uniquely shaped pool, and is it safe for all pool surfaces?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Sora 70 is designed for in-ground pools up to 3,200 sq. ft., including freeform, rectangular, and kidney shapes. Its intelligent navigation allows it to adapt to various layouts. It is completely safe for all common pool surfaces, including plaster, vinyl, fiberglass, and tile. Many users on TikTok and Reddit have confirmed it works great on their non-standard pools without causing any damage.

Question 2

How often will I need to empty the 6L debris canister? Is it really as powerful as advertised?

Accepted Answer

The 6L capacity is a significant advantage, often allowing for multiple cleaning cycles before emptying. However, frequency depends entirely on your pool's debris load. Owners with many trees might empty it after each clean in peak season, while others might go a week. The 6800GPH suction power is consistently praised in reviews for its ability to pick up everything from fine sand to acorns. For context, several YouTube comparisons show it matching or exceeding the suction of leading competitors.

Question 3

I'm not very tech-savvy. How difficult is the app setup and how reliable are the smart features?

Accepted Answer

Most users find the initial setup straightforward, but a common note from social media is that connecting to Wi-Fi can sometimes require patience. Once connected, the app is generally user-friendly for scheduling cleans and monitoring status. The "Smart Surface Parking" feature is a huge convenience when it works, though a small number of users report occasional inconsistencies. If you prefer simplicity, you can always use the manual start button on the power supply and still enjoy its exceptional cleaning performance.

Question 4

What is the warranty, and how is Beatbot's customer support if I have an issue?

Accepted Answer

The Beatbot Sora 70 comes with a standard 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. It's important to register your product. Feedback on customer support is mixed; many have had positive experiences, while some Reddit users have mentioned slower response times during peak season. For the fastest service, we recommend contacting support through the official channels listed in your manual with your serial number ready.

Question 5

How does this compare to a well-known brand like Dolphin? Who is this robot best suited for?

Accepted Answer

The Sora 70 competes directly with mid-to-high-end Dolphin models, often offering similar or greater suction power and the unique 6L capacity at a competitive price. It's best suited for tech-friendly owners of medium to large in-ground pools (up to 40ft) who want thorough, top-to-bottom cleaning with the convenience of app scheduling and automatic parking. If your pool is very small, has an extreme amount of large leaves, or you strongly prefer a brand with a longer-established service network, you might consider a simpler Dolphin model or a dedicated leaf-specific cleaner.
