Question 1

How accurate is this test, and how can hair analysis detect food intolerances?

Accepted Answer

The 5Strands test uses bio-resonance technology to identify potential intolerances by measuring the body's energy frequencies in response to 658 items. It's designed to pinpoint temporary sensitivities that may cause digestive discomfort, low energy, or skin issues. Many users on platforms like TikTok have shared how their results aligned perfectly with symptoms they'd experienced for years. It's important to note this is an *intolerance* test, not a diagnostic tool for life-threatening food allergies, which require consultation with a medical allergist.

Question 2

Is the results app available worldwide, and how do I access my report?

Accepted Answer

Currently, the primary app and online portal for accessing your digital report are optimized for users in the United States and Canada. We've seen feedback from some international customers about access difficulties. We recommend checking the official 5Strands website for the most up-to-date regional availability before purchasing. Your test kit includes clear instructions, and results are typically ready in 4 business days after the lab receives your sample.

Question 3

The report tests 658 items—what if my results show a long list of intolerances? Isn't that overwhelming?

Accepted Answer

It can feel that way at first glance! The report is comprehensive to give you a complete picture. It clearly categorizes items into Mild, Moderate, and Severe reactivity levels. Most successful users, as mentioned in many reviews, start by temporarily eliminating only the items in the "Severe" category for the recommended 60-90 days. This focused approach, rather than cutting out everything, is often the key to noticing significant improvements in gut health and overall wellness.

Question 4

Is this test suitable for children, and is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this test is safe and commonly used for children. Parents in online reviews frequently mention using it to help identify sensitivities linked to their child's stomach aches, skin conditions, or mood fluctuations. The process is non-invasive—only a few strands of hair are needed from close to the scalp. It provides a gentle way to gain insights without blood draws or clinical visits, making it a popular choice for families exploring dietary triggers.

Question 5

What is your privacy policy regarding my hair sample and personal data?

Accepted Answer

We take your privacy seriously. Your hair sample is used solely to generate your intolerance report and is securely disposed of after testing. We do not sequence DNA or perform genetic testing. Personal data is handled in accordance with our strict privacy policy, which details our data protection measures. We understand this is important to our customers; you can find the full, detailed policy on the 5Strands website for complete transparency.
