Question 1

Will this charge all my Apple devices at full speed, or is it slower than a single MagSafe charger?

Accepted Answer

The Anker MagGo station delivers up to 15W for iPhones, 5W for AirPods, and standard Apple Watch charging speeds. Many TikTok reviewers note that charging three devices simultaneously can slightly reduce overall speed compared to using a single MagSafe puck—particularly if you’re using a case or powering a larger device like an iPhone Pro Max. For overnight top-ups, it’s a solid travel companion, but power users might prefer a direct MagSafe connection for speed.

Question 2

Does the stand come with a power adapter, or do I need to buy one separately?

Accepted Answer

It ships with a USB-C cable but no wall plug. Reddit threads frequently mention this—you’ll need a 30W or higher USB-C charger (sold separately). Anker recommends their own 30W GaN charger for best performance. If you don’t have one, factor in that extra cost when comparing prices.

Question 3

Will this work with a thick protective case or a non-MagSafe Android phone?

Accepted Answer

The magnet is strong for MagSafe-compatible cases up to about 3mm thick. For thicker “tank” cases or Androids with standard wireless charging, magnetic alignment can be weak—users report phones sliding off or charging slowly. YouTube reviewers often suggest removing thick cases for best results. If you use a rugged case, this may not be your best option.

Question 4

How stable is the stand on a nightstand? Will it tip over if I bump it?

Accepted Answer

The base is compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to travel with but can be less stable than heavier options. Some Amazon reviews mention it tipping if you aggressively adjust the phone on the magnetic pad. For bedside use, place it on a flat, stable surface. For heavy-duty stability, consider a weighted dock like the Belkin BoostCharge Pro.

Question 5

Is the “Qi2 Certified” claim real? Will it charge my phone as fast as advertised?

Accepted Answer

Anker states the stand is Qi2 certified, which should ensure up to 15W for compatible iPhones (including iPhone 15/16/17) and fast pairing. However, user reports on social media are mixed—some see 15W with the latest iPhones, while others get slower rates with older models or non-Apple devices. The certification primarily applies to the magnetic alignment and wireless profile, not speed guarantees for every device. For maximum reliability, use it with a recent MagSafe iPhone and a 30W adapter.
