Question 1

Is this kettle actually double-wall insulated? Will the outside get hot?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it’s built with true double-wall construction. The exterior stays cool to the touch even when the water inside is boiling, which makes it safe to handle and pour right after it turns off. Many users on Reddit specifically praised this feature for preventing accidental burns.

Question 2

I only need to heat a small amount of water. Does this kettle work with partial fills?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You can boil as little as one cup of water, and it shuts off automatically once it reaches a rolling boil. The 1-liter capacity works well for single servings or making tea for two. Just note that frequent partial fills won’t damage the heating element—it’s designed for flexibility.

Question 3

How does this compare to a kettle with temperature control for delicate teas?

Accepted Answer

The Soho is strictly a boil-only kettle, so it brings water to 212°F every time. If you drink green or white teas that need lower temperatures (around 175–185°F), you’ll need to let the water cool manually. TikTok reviewers often recommend the Cuisinart CPK-17 if precise heat settings matter to you—but for black tea, coffee, or oatmeal, the Soho is perfectly fine and more affordable.

Question 4

Is the stainless steel interior easy to clean? Does it show water spots?

Accepted Answer

The interior is polished stainless steel and rinses out easily. Some users do notice mineral deposits or water spots over time, especially in hard water areas. A quick wipe with diluted vinegar once a month keeps it looking like new. The wide mouth also makes it easy to reach inside with a sponge.

Question 5

What’s the return or refund policy if I don’t like it?

Accepted Answer

Cuisinart offers a standard 3-year limited warranty, and most major retailers (Amazon, Williams Sonoma, etc.) accept returns within 30 days as long as the kettle is in clean, like-new condition. Just keep the original packaging if you’re unsure—some buyers mentioned it made their return easier.
