Question 1

Is this litter box suitable for my large cat or multiple cats?

Accepted Answer

The interior is notably spacious, and most users with 2-3 cats report excellent results. However, if you have a single cat over 15 lbs, some Reddit reviewers noted their larger breeds have to crouch slightly. The large waste bin capacity is a major plus for multi-cat homes, typically only needing weekly emptying.

Question 2

How reliable is the smartphone app, and is a subscription required?

Accepted Answer

The app provides helpful tracking for your cat's bathroom habits without any subscription fee. While the core automatic cleaning function works independently, social media feedback indicates the app experience can be inconsistent. Some users love the data, while others mention occasional connectivity drops or delayed notifications.

Question 3

What's the biggest practical downside I should be prepared for?

Accepted Answer

Based on numerous customer reviews, litter tracking is the most common minor annoyance. Even with the included mat, fine litter granules can be kicked out during your cat's enthusiastic digging. Planning to place the box on an easy-to-clean surface or a larger aftermarket mat is a popular pro-tip among owners.

Question 4

What type of litter works best, and how loud is the cleaning cycle?

Accepted Answer

It works optimally with clumping clay litter. Lightweight or crystal litters can cause more tracking and may not clump as effectively for the rake system. The cleaning cycle is a quiet mechanical whirr (not a loud vacuum sound). Most cats acclimate quickly, but a few TikTok videos show that initially skittish cats might startle at the first few cycles.

Question 5

How is the build quality, and what if I have problems with the unit?

Accepted Answer

The unit is generally well-regarded for its effective design and odor control. Some long-term users on forums have noted that parts like the waste drawer or globe liner can show wear after heavy use over a year or more. The product comes with a standard warranty, and reaching out to FurryTail's customer service for part replacements is the recommended first step if any issues arise.
