Question 1

Will this cable actually charge my headset while playing intensive games, or does it just slow the battery drain?

Accepted Answer

It primarily slows battery drain significantly, allowing for much longer play sessions. While marketing mentions "fast charging," most users find it provides a slow trickle charge during demanding gameplay. For lighter games or when the headset is idle, it will charge more effectively. Think of it as a "play indefinitely" cable rather than a rapid charger.

Question 2

Is the 16ft length practical, or does the cable get in the way and tangle easily?

Accepted Answer

The 16ft length is a major benefit for room-scale movement, but a common note from users is that the cable is quite sturdy to ensure signal integrity. This means it can be stiff and may require some management (like a ceiling pulley system or careful floor routing) to avoid tripping and maintain immersion. It doesn't tangle easily but doesn't coil loosely either.

Question 3

How does this compare to the official Meta/Oculus Link Cable? Is the quality similar?

Accepted Answer

The official cable is lighter, more flexible, and offers guaranteed compatibility. The INIU cable is a fraction of the price and provides a very reliable data connection for most users. The trade-off is the stiffness and potential variance in build quality. For most budget-focused users, the INIU represents exceptional value. For those seeking the absolute best, most hassle-free experience, the official cable is still the premium choice.

Question 4

I've seen some reviews mentioning connection issues. What should I check on my PC to make sure it works?

Accepted Answer

The most common cause of issues is an underpowered USB port. For the best "charge while playing" performance, always plug the USB-A end into a powered USB 3.0 (blue port) on the back of your PC's motherboard. Front-panel, USB 2.0, or unpowered hubs often don't supply enough power. Many troubleshooting posts on Reddit highlight this as the key to a stable link.

Question 5

What if the cable doesn't work with my setup or stops working after a short time?

Accepted Answer

INIU offers an 18-month warranty. If you experience issues, we recommend first trying different USB ports on your PC as mentioned above. If problems persist, reach out to the seller or INIU customer support directly through your purchase platform (like Amazon). They are generally responsive to warranty claims for genuine defects. Checking your eligibility for a return or replacement is always a good first step.
