Question 1

How long do the patches really last, and will they stay on during activities like swimming or sleeping?

Accepted Answer

The patches are designed to provide relief for up to 72 hours. While many users report they last through entire cruises and road trips, a common note from reviews is that adhesion can vary. For best results, ensure the skin behind your ear is clean, dry, and free of lotions before applying. They are waterproof, but vigorous swimming or excessive sweating may reduce adhesion for some. If you're concerned, packing a spare to reapply is a good travel tip.

Question 2

I've tried other motion sickness remedies that didn't work. How do I know these will work for me?

Accepted Answer

While the overwhelming majority of reviews praise their effectiveness for travel by car, boat, and plane, motion sickness is highly individual. A small percentage of users do not experience relief. We recommend trying them for the first time during a short, low-stakes trip. We stand by our product with a satisfaction guarantee—if they don't work for you, please contact our customer service team to discuss options.

Question 3

Are these suitable for children, and is there a risk of skin irritation?

Accepted Answer

These patches are intended for adults and children aged 10 and over. For younger children, please consult a doctor. While the material is generally comfortable, as with any adhesive product, some individuals with sensitive skin may experience minor redness or itching. This is noted in some user feedback. We recommend doing a patch test on the inner arm before full use if you have known skin sensitivities.

Question 4

How do MQ Patches compare to taking motion sickness pills like Dramamine?

Accepted Answer

The key difference is delivery and side effects. These patches work transdermally (through the skin) and are a popular choice for people who want to avoid the drowsiness often associated with oral medications. They're also more convenient—you apply them and forget them. However, pills may be more effective for individuals with severe nausea. It's a matter of personal preference, and many travelers, as seen in social media reviews, enjoy using the patches as their go-to, drug-free solution.

Question 5

What's the best way to apply the patch for maximum effectiveness, and what if it falls off early?

Accepted Answer

For best results, apply the patch to clean, dry, hairless skin behind the ear at least 30 minutes before travel. Avoid areas with cuts or irritation. If a patch falls off prematurely, simply clean and dry the area and apply a new one. Each pack contains multiple patches for this reason. If you consistently have issues with adhesion, ensuring the skin is completely free of oils and not applying to a pressure point (like where glasses rest) can help.
