Question 1

How do I get the right size? I’ve seen mixed reviews about fit.

Accepted Answer

Accurate sizing starts with measuring your thigh circumference about 6 inches above your kneecap and your calf circumference about 6 inches below it. Many users found that re-checking these measurements with a flexible tape measure—rather than a string—reduced errors. If you’re between sizes, some TikTok reviewers suggest going up for a more comfortable fit with room for adjustment. Ovation’s sizing chart on the product page includes video guides, which can help avoid common mistakes.

Question 2

Is this brace really low profile enough to wear under clothing?

Accepted Answer

It’s lighter and sleeker than traditional unloader braces, but it’s not invisible. Several Reddit users noted it fits under loose sweatpants or wide-leg jeans without bulging, but slim-fit clothing will show the outline. The brace’s slim hinges and breathable fabric are designed to minimize bulk, but if you need a completely discreet option for formal wear, you might want to consider a smaller sleeve-style support instead.

Question 3

How durable is it for daily use? Will it last more than a few months?

Accepted Answer

For moderate daily use—like walking, light household tasks, or office work—the brace typically holds up well for 6–12 months before the straps or hinge tension may need adjustment. Some long-term users on YouTube reported minor squeaking after heavy use, which can be fixed with a drop of silicone lubricant on the hinges. If you’re a very active user or plan to wear it for sports, you may want to look into more rugged models.

Question 4

What’s the return policy if it doesn’t work for my knee pain?

Accepted Answer

Ovation Medical offers a 30-day return window from the date of delivery, provided the brace is in like-new condition and in its original packaging. You’ll need to contact their customer support team for a return authorization. A few buyers noted that response times can be slow, so it’s best to start the process early if you’re unsure. Check the product page for any seasonal return policy updates.

Question 5

Is this brace better for medial or lateral knee pain? And can I use it for post-surgery recovery?

Accepted Answer

This brace is designed to unload either the medial (inner) or lateral (outer) knee compartment by adjusting the support straps. Most user reviews mention it works well for arthritis pain on both sides. However, it is not intended for immediate post-surgery recovery or severe instability—those cases usually require a custom brace or a hinged post-op immobilizer. For mild to moderate osteoarthritis or chronic pain from meniscus issues, many find it provides effective daily relief.
