Question 1

Does this charger come with a USB cable?

Accepted Answer

No, the Adapto 12 is just the wall charger (the "brick"). You will need to use your own USB-A to Lightning, USB-C, or Micro-USB cable. Many reviewers suggest pairing it with a good-quality cable for the best fast-charging results.

Question 2

Is it safe for my new iPhone, and is it Mfi-certified?

Accepted Answer

The Portronics Adapto 12 is designed to be compatible with a wide range of devices, including iPhones. While it may not carry official Mfi certification, it is built with standard safety protections like surge protection. Based on thousands of reviews, most users find it safe and reliable for daily use with Apple and Samsung devices.

Question 3

How does the charging speed compare to the small charger that came with my iPhone?

Accepted Answer

It's significantly faster. The Adapto 12 delivers 12W of power, compared to the standard 5W Apple charger. Users on TikTok and Reddit frequently mention it charges their phones from low to 50-70% in roughly an hour, which is a very noticeable improvement.

Question 4

I've read some reviews saying it stops working after a few months. What's the warranty?

Accepted Answer

Portronics typically offers a warranty for this product (we recommend checking the seller's page for the specific duration). While the vast majority of our 12,000+ reviews are positive, a small percentage of users reported durability issues. For peace of mind as a primary charger, some tech enthusiasts recommend brands like Anker for their extended warranties. As a compact, affordable secondary charger, however, most customers are very satisfied.

Question 5

Is this good for travel, and will it fit in tight power outlets?

Accepted Answer

Yes, its compact size is one of its most praised features, making it an excellent travel companion. However, a few users have noted that the plug prongs can fit loosely in some types of wall outlets. It works perfectly in most, but if your outlets are worn, it may not grip as securely as a bulkier charger.
