Question 1

How long does the peppermint smell last, and will it stain my floors or car upholstery?

Accepted Answer

The strong scent typically lasts about 4 to 6 weeks. In cooler, dry areas like a garage or basement it may last a bit longer, but in hot spaces like an attic or car, the balls can start to "sweat" or melt. Because of this, we strongly recommend placing the balls in a shallow dish, jar lid, or the included inner tray rather than directly on carpets, wood floors, or car mats. The oily residue can stain porous surfaces, so a little protection goes a long way.

Question 2

I have a serious mouse problem, not just one or two. Will this be enough?

Accepted Answer

This product is designed more as a *deterrent* than a full infestation solution. While many users find it excellent for preventing new mice from moving in, it’s not strong enough to make active mice flee a house that already has a food source. Think of it as the first line of defense. For an active infestation, we recommend using these balls in combination with traps or sealing entry points for the best results.

Question 3

Is this product safe for my pets? It smells strong.

Accepted Answer

The formula uses high-concentration peppermint oil. While it is not a poison (like traditional rodenticides), peppermint oil can be a skin or stomach irritant for dogs and cats. If a pet chews on a ball, they might drool, vomit, or show signs of digestive upset. We advise placing the pouches in areas your pets cannot reach, like behind appliances, inside an attic, or deep under a porch.

Question 4

The package says 48 balls, but some are crushed or dried out. Did I get a bad batch?

Accepted Answer

We understand this is frustrating. Because the balls are made of natural fibers saturated with oil, they are somewhat fragile. Rough shipping can occasionally cause a few to break apart. If a significant number (more than 3-4) are crushed or if the bag feels dry, please reach out to our customer support team directly. We take quality control seriously and will make it right. For best performance, store the unopened bag in a cool, dark place.

Question 5

How many balls do I actually need for different areas (car, attic, garage)?

Accepted Answer

The rule of thumb is "coverage, not crowding." For a standard car interior, 3-4 balls under the seats and 2 in the trunk is plenty. For a two-car garage, scattering 8 to 10 balls around the perimeter works well. In an attic, space them roughly 5 to 8 feet apart along the rafters and insulation. More is not always better—if you use too many in a small space, the smell can actually become overwhelming for humans.
