Question 1

Is the "Extra Firm" support too hard, especially for side sleepers?

Accepted Answer

This is our most common question! The Talatex pillow is genuinely extra firm, designed for maximum support. Many back and stomach sleepers find it perfect for spinal alignment. However, dedicated side sleepers often mention it feels too solid during the initial weeks, as it doesn't compress much for shoulder clearance. If you're a side-sleeper who loves a plush "hug," this might be too firm. We recommend it primarily for back/stomach sleepers or those whose doctors have recommended very firm support.

Question 2

I'm sensitive to smells. Does this pillow have a strong odor?

Accepted Answer

Because it's made from 100% natural latex, the pillow does have a distinct, natural rubber aroma when first unpacked from its vacuum seal. This is not a chemical smell like some memory foams. Our customers report the scent is noticeable but fades significantly after 24-48 hours of airing out in a well-ventilated room. Placing it in a breathable pillowcase can help speed up the process.

Question 3

How does the breathability and temperature regulation compare to memory foam?

Accepted Answer

This is where Talalay latex shines. The PureFusion process creates an open-cell structure that allows for exceptional airflow. Unlike traditional memory foam, which can trap body heat, this pillow sleeps very cool. In social media reviews, this is one of the most praised benefits—hot sleepers and those in warmer climates consistently note they no longer wake up to flip the pillow over to find the "cool side."

Question 4

What is your return policy if the firmness isn't right for me?

Accepted Answer

We offer a 30-night trial period because we know adjusting to a new pillow, especially a firm latex one, can take time. If after giving it a genuine try (we recommend at least 2-3 weeks) you find it's not the right fit for your sleep style, you can initiate a return for a full refund. Please check our official return page for complete details and any conditions.

Question 5

Will a standard-size pillowcase fit this pillow?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but with a note. The pillow is designed to fit a standard pillowcase (20" x 26"). However, because it's so firm and doesn't compress easily, some customers find the fit to be snug or "tight," especially with pillowcases that have a lower thread count or less stretch. For the best fit, we recommend using a standard pillowcase with a bit of stretch or one made from natural fibers like cotton or bamboo.
