Question 1

Is this docking station truly compatible with the ROG Ally and Legion Go, or is it just for the Steam Deck?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it offers full plug-and-play compatibility with the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go. Users across Reddit and YouTube confirm it works seamlessly for video output, charging, and data transfer on all three devices. The key is the USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, which these handhelds all use.

Question 2

How loud are the dual cooling fans, and can they be turned off?

Accepted Answer

The fans are active and automatically turn on to manage heat. While very effective for cooling, a common note in reviews is that they are audible—comparable to a low laptop hum. They're not silent, so if you game in a very quiet room, you'll hear them. They cannot be manually turned off, as they're designed to protect your device during intensive docked sessions.

Question 3

I've heard the non-slip pad is tricky to apply. Any tips?

Accepted Answer

You're right, this is a frequent piece of user feedback. The adhesive rubber pad can be challenging to align bubble-free. Our tip: thoroughly clean the dock's base with isopropyl alcohol first, peel the backing slowly, and apply from one edge carefully. Many users on TikTok have shared that taking your time or using third-party adhesive bumpers works well if you find it too frustrating.

Question 4

Does the 100W PD charging deliver full power to my handheld, and will it charge while I'm gaming at 4K?

Accepted Answer

The dock supports up to 100W Power Delivery pass-through charging. This means it can deliver ample power to fast-charge your device *and* run all connected peripherals simultaneously, even during 4K@60Hz gameplay. It will not slow your device's charging under normal use. Just ensure you use the included 100W (or a high-quality equivalent) power adapter.

Question 5

Who would you say this dock is NOT the best fit for?

Accepted Answer

This dock is a powerhouse for a stationary setup. It might not be the ideal choice if: 1) Portability is your top priority (it's larger than hub-style docks), 2) Absolute silence is essential (the fans are audible), or 3) You only need basic port expansion without cooling. For those users, a simpler, fanless hub could be a better fit. This dock is best for gamers who want a full-featured, cooling-equipped home base for their handheld.
