Question 1

Will this splitter work with my laptop?

Accepted Answer

It works with laptops that support DP Alt Mode over USB-C — typically Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 machines like most modern Windows ultrabooks and MacBooks. If your laptop is older or lacks those specs, it won't output video. When in doubt, check your manufacturer's spec sheet before ordering.

Question 2

Can I extend my desktop across two monitors on a Mac?

Accepted Answer

On macOS, both monitors will show the *same* image (mirrored), not an extended desktop — this is a macOS limitation, not a defect. Windows users with compatible hardware get true dual extended displays. If extended screens on Mac are essential, look into a DisplayLink-based dock instead.

Question 3

Do I need a separate charger, and how fast will it charge my laptop?

Accepted Answer

Yes — no power cord is included, so you'll need your own USB-C charger. The hub passes through up to 85W, which comfortably charges ultrabooks but may not keep up with power-hungry gaming or workstation laptops under heavy load.

Question 4

Does it really support 4K at 60Hz on both monitors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when paired with a compatible laptop and quality cables, most users report smooth 4K@60Hz on both displays with no lag. Performance can drop if your laptop or cables don't fully support the bandwidth, so use certified cables for best results.

Question 5

What if it doesn't work with my setup — can I return it?

Accepted Answer

Return eligibility depends on the retailer, but most platforms offer a standard 30-day window. Many buyers recommend testing it immediately upon arrival, since compatibility issues — especially with older laptops — are the most common reason for returns.
