Question 1

I have a newer CX-5 (2024-2025). Do these mats fit perfectly, or are there any known issues?

Accepted Answer

They are designed for a precise custom fit across all model years from 2017-2025. For the absolute latest models, a very small number of owners have noted that the driver's side mat may require an occasional gentle push back into place near the dead pedal after extensive use. The overwhelming consensus, backed by thousands of reviews, confirms an excellent, secure fit that looks OEM. LASFIT's design is consistently updated to match factory changes.

Question 2

How do these LASFIT TPE mats compare to brands like WeatherTech?

Accepted Answer

While both offer excellent protection, the key differences are in material and aesthetics. LASFIT uses a flexible yet durable TPE that many users find has a cleaner, less bulky look and is easier to handle in cold weather. WeatherTech liners are known for their rigid, heavy-duty feel. The LASFIT set also includes matching seatback protectors, which are often sold separately by other brands. It often comes down to personal preference for material texture and overall value.

Question 3

Is there a strong chemical smell when they arrive?

Accepted Answer

Some customers report a mild "new product" odor upon unboxing, which is common with TPE and similar materials. This smell is not harmful and dissipates quickly. For the fastest results, simply unroll the mats and let them air out in a well-ventilated area (like a garage) for 24-48 hours before installing them in your vehicle. The odor will be completely gone after a short period of use.

Question 4

The cargo liner looks great, but will it slide around on the folded rear seats?

Accepted Answer

The liner has a grippy, non-slip backing designed to stay in place on the cargo floor. When you fold the rear seats down to extend the trunk space, the liner will rest on the hard plastic seatbacks. For maximum security in this configuration—especially if you're carrying heavy, smooth items—we recommend using the included anti-slip anchors to clip the liner to the seatback material. This prevents any potential shifting.

Question 5

Who would benefit most from this full set? Is it worth the investment over cheaper mats?

Accepted Answer

This set is a standout investment for active individuals and families. If you have kids, pets, enjoy outdoor hobbies, or live in an area with snow, rain, or mud, the deep-dish design and full coverage (including seatbacks) offer unparalleled protection for your CX-5's interior. Reviews consistently mention that buyers who initially tried cheaper, universal mats ended up upgrading to these, wishing they had made the purchase first to protect their vehicle's resale value and cleanliness.
